Dr. Adkisson joined the Digestive Health Partners Team on March 1st, 2025.
Dr. Adkisson was born in Brewton, AL. He received his BS-Pharmacy degree from Samford University School of Pharmacy in Birmingham and his Medical Degree from the University of Alabama-Birmingham where he also completed his residency. His internship was completed at the University of California San Diego and his fellowship in Gastroenterology was completed at the University of California San Francisco.
Dr. Adkisson then returned home and has practiced Gastroenterology in south AL / northwest FL since 2001 prior to relocating to the mountains of western North Carolina. Dr. Adkisson performs a wide array of both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy including EGD, ERCP, Enteroscopy, Colonoscopy, PEG placement, video capsule endoscopy.
