James C. Rholl, M.D.
Board Certified Gastroenterologist
James C. Rholl, M.D. grew up in Minneapolis, MN and joined our practice in 2000. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of digestive disorders and the performance of endoscopic procedures. He lives in Hendersonville with his wife Vicky Rholl, M.D. who is a pathologist in Asheville. They have three grown children. He enjoys traveling with his family, wakeboarding, and the great outdoors.

Dr. Rholl is a member of The American Gastroenterology Association, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American College of Gastroenterology and The NC Medical Society.
Education & Fellowship
Dr. Rholl received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School. His internship was completed at the University of Hawaii and his residency in internal medicine at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii followed by a fellowship in gastroenterology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Prior to joining Carolina Mountain Gastroenterology he served as Assistant Chief of Gastroenterology at William Beaumont Army Medical Center, El Paso, TX. Dr. Rholl is board certified in gastroenterology.
He is currently affiliated with Pardee Hospital, Park Ridge Health and Transylvania Regional Hospital.
